Male performers could be seen in knee length pleated skirts for the 2024 Paris OIympics flame lighting ceremony. This took place at the Ancient Olympia site, Greece, on Tuesday, April 16th.
Gendered dress codes still did exist, as dancers were divided into the roles of 'priestesses' who wore long dresses, and their male companions:
Although ancient olympians competed naked, male skirts in Ancient Greece were both fashionable and a symbol of unparalleled manliness.
