Why and how our stickers came to be

Why and how our stickers came to be

It all started with an article I wrote a few years back called My Journey into Skirts. I thought, this story needs a title image that shows the joy and freedom I get from skirts.

I wanted to illustrate a pair of legs confidently jumping into a skirt while flicking off a pair of pants. I drew several doodles and nothing was as good as the 1st attempt:

Pink doodle outline of a skirt, with black outline of skinny legs, flicking off a pair of pants, and confidently stepping forward.

After sharing the article, I had so much support and positive feedback. Not about the doodle, but the contents of the article. That played a huge part in inspiring me to start Everybody Skirts.

I shared the article in a Facebook group called Men in Skirts and someone commented, ‘If you ever make that doodle into something physical, I’d be interested.'

Here's the rest of the story:

Or skip to the iterations of the doodle:

You can view or buy the stickers here.

A hand holding a 4x6 sticker sheet with 9 stickers: a white skirt with black outline, 'Everybody Skirts' in logo text, 'Great Skirt' doc brown in amazement, hairy legs with big feet prancing in a light grey skirt, i <3 skirts, a men's washroom symbol with skirt instead of pants and an 'M' below it, 'Life is too short for boring clothes in all caps, 'feel the breeze between your knees'. and 'it's a piece of fabric'.

Which one is your favourite? Would you like to see it in another form, like enamel pins? Leave a comment below.
